Our History

ROC Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Inc was founded by Michael Sellars, the organizations President. Michael has cystic fibrosis and has benefited from the medical advances that have been made in recent years. Michael has been a candidate for the new modulators that had been approved by the FDA in recent years, developed by Vertex Pharmaceuticals and understands that not all people living with CF have access to these modulators due to the CF genes one may have. He founded ROC CFA because he wanted to make a difference, and to give back to the CF community and give everyone with CF the chance to live a long, fulfilling life as he is able to do now due to the medical advances in recent years. He will continue to fight for everyone with CF, to raise money to fund the research and development of a cure for cystic fibrosis.
